1. Sewing is thy avocation. Thou shalt have no avocation before it. 2. Thou shalt alter and fit patterns and garments, and thou shall revere the balance that such garments add to thy wardrobe. 3. Thou shalt not take the act of sewing in vain. 4. Thou shalt save at least one day a week (two, as necessary, and the whole week, if possible) for sewing. 5. Honor thy sewing machine and shears, keep them clean and oiled, that they endure. 6. Thou shalt be educated and thou shalt read EVERY sewing publication possible. 7. Thou shalt not cook, clean, exercise or engage in any other sort of chore, when thou couldst be sewing. 8. Thou shalt rush out and buy the latest sewing notion or fabric. 9. Thou shalt not reavel funds spend on sewing. 10. Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's fabric stash.
