Ombudsman, Inc.
Ombudsman, Inc. was established in 1978 with the purpose of providing
protection for individuals in long-term care facilities and involving
the community actively in improving the quality of life and care in
facilities. This is achieved through:
- receiving and resolving complaints by working with residents,
their family members, their friends, the regulator authorities, as
well as the institutions,
- providing public education on long-term care and alternatives,
- counseling famlies and providing information and referral to
individuals who are in the process of selecting institutional
long-term care or alternatives.
