We had an earthquake and the deaths of 2 small children. The earthquake was so small (1.1) that I doubt anyone noticed. The death of 2 children, however, is horrific. If you are as goulish as I am, here are some links about the 2 children.

We’ve had almost 1.75 inches (4.5 cm) of rain since the beginning of February. That moved us up to 70% of average for February and 60% for the year. 60% is about 6.5 inches (16.5 cm). That may not seem like much to you-all who live where it actually rains, but it’s huge here. And we drink ground water in Livermore, so it’s even more important for us compared to other bay area water districts that use the snow pack in the sierra for water. Of course, the other districts care about the rain, or rather the snow that it becomes in the mountains.

We have until July to get up to normal, so cross your fingers for us.

Wastewater treatment does not remove these chemicals from the water. The City of Livermore is sponsoring a Drug Take-Back Event on Oct. 4 from 8am to 2pm at the Police Dept on S.
