How can you be a widow and a father? You have one daughter; any sons? That’s a bummer about her mom. I don’t remember my mom. I came to live with Mami when I was 6 weeks old. What are your 3 scheduled steps? I don’t have much of a schedule. I do know when it is dinner time. I don’t gots no kids.

My abuelo was a licensed civil engineer. He built freeways. He built the freeway by my home. He didn’t travel much. He worked for the State of California back when CalTrans was the Dept. of Hiways. I have never been out of California. What’s it like to travel?

Mami says I am a special, sweet girl. I haven’t had any past relationships. All my relationships are present. My biggest goal is to spend time indoors with Mami or Papi. I dream about pig ears.

This confused Lily. Does he want to know where she was from or where she is from? It’s a tough question. Lily doesn’t remember where she was from. There is only now.

Deer Mr Smith – May I call you May or is 30Roy more appropriate? I don’t no much ’bout seeing more than one side, but I can tell you about smells. Do you smell nice? My liddle brudder, Bruno, smells nice but then he farts. His farts can clear a room.

I have lots of dreams, too. Usually, they involve running or eating or playing.

I have a great life, too. Only, I used to be able to lie on the couch. Now, I have to lie on the ground. Bruno sumtimes gets to go on the couch if Chunguita is holding him.

I’m glad you aren’t searching for Miss Perfect. Mami says that I am not the perfect dog. Henrey, now, he was great dog, but not me. I don’t have money. However, life is pretty easy. I sleep in the sun, get hot, sleep in the shade, get cold, sleep in the sun, and so forth. I go for walks, and I get fed 2 times a day. Sumtimes Bruno sleeps wiff me in my crate.

Oh, and I’m easy, except for one ear that seems to get dirty.

I like men. I like women, too. I don’t care if you are handsome or ugly, as long as you don’t smell bad. I am usually gentle, but the other day, Bravo hooked a toenail in my nose and made it bleed. I had to flatten him for that.

I do know what I want. And I LOVELOVELOVE to cuddle. It would be fantastic to sleep in your bed with you.

I never lie. I’m not interested in a pen pal either. I don’t think I could hold a pen in my paw.

Then I took the puppers out to the poop area, where Lily peed and got a treat. While I was waiting for Bruno to finish drinking water, so he could go, Lily peed, again, for another treat. She’s a smart girl, saving a bit of urine for another treat.

Back on topic … yeah, right.

Last night, I’m goofing off on facebook, and Pulguito is watching a Star Wars movie in my craft area. All of a sudden, I hear Chunguita screaming and crying. What could possibly be happening, I wonder; after all, Pulguito is no where near Chunguita. I run thru the house and find Lily pinned under DH. DH is scolding Lily (who seems totally unmoved), and Chunguita is crying.

“What happened?” I ask.

“LilyhadBruno’srawhideandItriedtotakeitawayfromherandshegrowledandbitme!” Chunguita cried.

Which explained why DH had Lily pinned and was growling at her. I wondered if he nipped her back. Anyway, DH couldn’t get Bruno’s rawhide out of Lily’s mouth, and after a bit more chastisement, he put Lily outside (aka isolation from the pack). I didn’t think Lily should get to keep the rawhide, so I went outside, pried her mouth open by pinching her lips so that they squeezed under her back teeth which forces her to open her mouth a bit or bite herself, and I took the rawhide away from her.

Poor Lily, she doesn’t understand the pack order in our house. Well, she thinks she should be above Chunguita and Pulguito and Bruno. And, I think, pack hierarchy is determined between the individuals, so she occasionally makes the mistake of asserting herself to Chunguita or Pulguito. Then she gets it from me or DH, and I’m not sure that this really makes sense to her. Ah, well, she did learn that Chunguita and Pulguito get to sit on the furniture and that she does not.

Fortunately, situations like this are very rare for us.
