Boys attacking me

All of the activities/rides at Clark‘s are included in the entrance fee. I love rides, so I wanted to go on them all. The only person who wanted to do the water ride, besides me, was Pulguito. <lj-cut text="more below the cut">

I forgot to take off my shoes before I got on the ride. While waiting in line, I debated calling over Linda or Kathy to get my shoes. I was wearing leather sandals. I decided to take them off, and passed them off to Kathy. I really glad that I did because I got attacked by those 2 boys.

Granny attacking

DH nailing Pulguito

Everyone got into the game. Granny is blind, but she never wants to be left out of anything. I really admire that in her. In the brief moments that I had between attacks, I was able to glimpse Granny firing the water cannon.

DH nailed Tony. I think he shot at me, too. It was hard to tell.

I was soaked by the end of the ride.

As you can see, I was dripping wet after the ride. The kids’ father explained to me that they had picked my boat and decided to attack whoever was in that boat. The mother apologized. I really didn’t care. I don’t think I’ve ever had so much attention on a ride before, and I really glad they attacked me and not Pulguito.

On one of our last days in Maine, we drove down to Old Orchard Beach. It was a lovely day, and the beach was packed. I’ve never seen a beach so full in California. I had no idea what the plan was for the day. I’m not sure that anyone did. DH had told me that it was like the Santa Cruz Boardwalk. The thing is that we got an early start; we were there at 8:30 or so, and the amusement park didn’t open until noon. Did we bring anything for the beach? No, of course not. So we went shopping.

We found a great store, not too expensive, a couple of blocks from the beach. Unfortunately, I don’t recall the name. We got everything, swimsuits, towels, toys, boogie boards, a mat, a chair for Granny, and probably other stuff that I can’t remember. The owner of the store was very, very helpful. I was able to find a really well fitting 2 piece bathing suit that I liked.

We were having so much fun playing that we didn’t keep track of the time, and we all got hungry. Pulguito has a terrible time behaving when he’s hungry, so we had some incidents on the way to the restaurant at the end of the pier. We had to sit out on the balcony which was about 18 inches wider than the tables. Pulguito had a major meltdown, so DH took him out of the restaurant. We couldn’t wait any longer, so we ordered w/o Pulguito and DH. I ordered DH a margarita which he appreciated when he got back.

Once we got some food into Pulguito, he was an angel. We had a nice lunch and headed back down the pier. Pulguito was totally fixated on getting an ice cream or popsicle. Chunguita found a place that did hairwraps, and DH bought her one. After walking away with Pulguito, I decided I really wanted one, so I went back and had one done. I’m really glad I did.

On the way out, we stopped and went on some rides.

We went to the Train Museum in Old Town Sacramento while DMIL and 2 DSILs were visiting.

It’s hard to take pictures inside the museum. It’s dark and cavernous. The engines are dark. However, I wanted to try a 360° collage, and I figured this room in the museum would be a good subject.

I’m not happy with this collage. It’s too short and wide. That tends to be a problem with most of my collages, but this one is an extreme.
