Well, if I’m going to lose weight, I have to diet. I’m starting today. On Monday, I’ll start with Weight Watchers. I found my WW info. The meetings are on Tuesday, a swim day, so I probably won’t be going to them. And at night, if I go to a meeting I should go to [...]

Leaving things to the last minute
At least, I have a good excuse. May was just crazy, and I did get DD’s dress done. Yesterday, I was able to edge stitch the facings, but at this rate, I’m not going to finish until after the wedding. I’m going to take tomorrow morning off work, and hopefully, I’ll be able to sew [...]
Will I finish in time for the wedding?
I sewed the facing to the top with the clear elastic acting at a stablizer. I’m going to have to edge stitch to keep that elastic from popping out.

Whirlwind weekend6/21/2004 10:04:14 AM
I decided not to use the silk organza. One of my sewing buddies suggested fleshtone tulle instead. So I’m going to try this. Because the tulle doesn’t offer much support, I decided to use clear elastic on the neckline. The pattern calls for buttonloops. My first buttonloops came out terrible. I’m not sure why. Anyway, [...]
Start the week off right

It’s definitely getting easier. I’m going to try to swim 300 w/o stopping next time. I didn’t flip. [...]
Tooth #3
Chunguita just got her third tooth. She’s been fussy, and the nightbefore last, she couldn’t sleep unless I was holding her against me inour bed.
Nightmares about drape
I cut my top out last night from a blue linen/rayon burnout that I got at Joann’s. It’s an interesting fabric. It looks like blue linen with sheer floral insets. I’m not sure what I’m going to do about the facings and interfacing. I am going to use silk organza, but should I use 1 [...]
Something to wear to a wedding
My brother is getting married on June 19th, and I decided last night that I don’t have anything to wear to the wedding. So after much agonizing, I decided to make this top to go over a pegged knit skirt. I’m going to use a rayon/linen burnout from Joann’s for the the top and a [...]
