A microearthquake occurred at 3:23:55 AM (PST) on Friday, November 6, 2009.
The magnitude 1.4 event occurred 1 km (1 miles) SE of Dublin, CA.
The hypocentral depth is 9 km ( 5 miles).

But was it on the Williams Fault or the Calaveras Fault or something else?

EARTHQUAKE!!1! Okay, it was only 1.7, but still that’s an earthquake.

There were 2 earthquakes. The first was outside of French Camp! It occurred last Saturday and was a 2.1. The most interesting thing about this little quake is that there is no known fault line where it occurred! Maybe we will find a new fault. Very exciting for us geology geeks.

The second was either on the Calaveras Fault or the Williams Fault, outside of Sunol.

And, no, I did not feel either one. 2.1 and 2.2 earthquakes are little bitty.

In August of 2006, I posted about Carmen Gatica Gil. She suffocated her newborn. It’s just so sad. She’s having her Preliminary Hearing.

I know I said it already, but this is just so sad.

Earthquake! It was a fairly large one, outside of Morgan Hill. My officemate said he felt it, but I did not.
