Sleeping Again

Oh, yeah, another reason for me to deal with it without DH. We decided a long time ago that I would deal with her night time waking and that DH would sleep. Not only do we risk fighting if he is up, too, but he is totally useless the next day. And I need him, big time, when I am sleep deprived for days on end.

It’s weird because I need more sleep than DH and if I don’t get enough over the course of a couple of days, I get a migraine. But he just doesn’t seem to be able to be a calm soothing presence in the middle of the night or any time that she is going to sleep.

She only woke once last night, again! I’m feeling quite rested and revived. I even got up, without an alarm or anything on a weekend day when I knew I could sleep as late as I wanted, at 7:15. Oh, yeah, I get Fridays off from work because of our sleep situation, so Friday is a weekend day for me.

I considering going back to work full time. We’re going to do a test run next week. I’m an optimist. The tough part is that I want to work a 9/80 schedule (80 hours in 9 days instead of 10). That means Monday – Thursday are 9 hour days, and I lose half of my Fridays. Next week, I attempt 9 hour work days. Send sleep vibes.

I want to go back to work full time, so that I get full time benefits during the next pregnancy. Right now, I only get 4/5 benefits because I’m working 4/5 time. Full time pay would be nice, too. I figure it is a 20% increase in pay for a 10% increase in days at work.

Hah! I haven’t really worked full time since August of 1999. I just couldn’t get to work when I was pregnant. No one seemed to notice. I even got a decent review from my customers. I wonder is anyone will notice if that happens now? Hm.
