On this day in 1797, in the first ever peaceful transfer of power between elected leaders in modern times, John Adams was sworn in as President of the United States, succeeding George Washington.

I wish we always lived up to our ideals.

To which, jAMES HOBAUGH (Hey, that’s how he signed his name.) replied:

You suspended two students for praying for their teacher.75%of americans are christians.We the people are watching you.Your money says in god we trust.I hope your school goes under because of your anti christian stance and my daughter will never go there shame on you sighned WE THE PEOPLE

WTF? I’m tempted to e-mail and ask, but maybe I don’t want to know. Maybe you could e-maill and ask him for me. He very … um … openly gave his e-mail for his URL, so if you click on “Proud to be an American” up top, you’ll be able to click and send him an e-mail. :naughty:
