Dinner & Trick-or-treat

in: General

In the morning, the butthead that I’m married to suggested that we take the kids to the downtown trick-or-treat festival. I call him around 4, and we talk about what to have for dinner so we can get downtown. I take care of dinner and pick up the kids. He doesn’t get home until 5:45, then he spends the next 45 minutes playing with his boat so he can go play/fish tomorrow from 4am to 8pm.

When he finally comes in for dinner, he complains to me that we never really talked about going trick-or-treating. Hello? I called him at 4 to discuss it. He’s pissed off because his playtime isn’t top priority for me. Why did he have kids? So he ignore all their activities and go fishing? And he’s mad because he wants me to go to the grocery store on my day off, while he’s out playing on his boat, and I refused. He can wait until I go on Saturday.

I had one small candybar on the way home from trick-or-treating. We’ll see if I can manage to not eat any tomorrow.
