We went to the downtown festival last night. Chunguita wasn’t sure she wanted to go, but I told her that we would hold hands the entire time and leave as soon as she was tired.
She did pretty well. She needed me to get the candy from some of the more scary characters, whiches, vampires, and monsters. One monster scared her so badly that she wanted to run away but settled for hiding behind me.
Pulguito did very well. He loves his monkey costume. He wasn’t afraid of anything. He walked the entire time, and he carried his basket right up to everyone and held it out for candy.
On the way home, I tried to get everyone to wait until we got home to have candy. Robert just doesn’t seem to understand that if the rules don’t apply to him, he can’t enforce them with the kids. He sat in the front seat and ate the chocolate out of Chunguita’s basket. Of course she knew what he was doing, and of course, she wanted some too.
