Have you thought about learning to quilt but felt it was too time-consuming and tedious?? This is the quilt for you! A quick and easy project. No cutting or sewing of any triangles. You only need to make 6 blocks in two different colors, 4 in Color 1 and 2 in Color 2.. It’s that easy, how simple can you get? You may substitute a solid square in the very center of the star or use the four squares as shown. Samples will be available. The instructor, Sue Martin, will also show various projects that she has adapted to use as embellishments for pillows, tote bags and to use on clothing.

You’ll learn easy quilt piecing skills by learning the Square in a Square® technique! This system allows you to make any level of quilt top with speed and accuracy. All skill levels will enjoy this design. The Square in a Square system increases speed and accuracy in patchwork. Using Square in a Square, you never cut or piece another triangle again!

Sue Martin is a certified Square in a Square (SnS) teacher since April 2007. She has been sewing for more than 40 years, primarily garments with some quilting. Now that she has retired, she can share her love of sewing by teaching it to others. Bring your sewing machine with your basic presser foot, basic sewing supplies, rotary cutter, mat, straight ruler, (i.e. 3” x 18) and fabric cut as directed below or purchase a kit which will be available in various colors for $20.00

Sue will have the SnS ruler and the Advancing On II book available for use during class and for sale if you get addicted to this fun and quick piecing method.
