Acorns to Oaktrees

FUCK!!! It’s hot. :hot: It’s 102F/40C in my backyard. That’s in the shade. I don’t want to know what the surface temperature is.

Pulguito and I went to Bright Beginnings this morning for an evaluation. I am so relieved to say that Pulguito has an almost zero chance of having autism. :hyper: He does have sensory integration issues. The occupational therapist diagnosed a proprioceptive disorder, but she considers it borderline. Further, she thinks that he will “out grow” it. I expressed my concerns with his transition to kindergarten and wanting to give him the tools so that he can manage it with less frustration. I believe the frustration and his need for contact leads to his lashing out. What I really want is a “perscription” on what to do at home and what to do at daycare.

She recommended How Does Your Engine Run?. We shall see.

Have you ever had Pulguito see a developmental pediatrician? This is a relatively new field. I hadn’t heard about this kind of peds until I joined the Mother of Multiples club and got some advice. I haven’t taken my twins there yet, as I am seeing good progress with the Child Find program. The developmental pediatrician is suppose to be different from the psychologist. You should find one associated with university or children’s hospitals.
