I’ll get you for this, Ms. Phyllis.

The Rules:
1. Pick up the nearest book of 123 (or more) pages.
Persistent Oligarchs: Elites and Politics in Chihuahua, Mexico 1910-1940

2. Open the book to page 123 and find the 5th sentence.

3. Post the next 3 sentences.
“Buenaventura, in particular, grew rich selling mines to foreign companies and died a millionaire in 1907. The brothers briefly tried to obtain statewide office in 1877, when José María ran in and lost the gubernatorial election. Thereafter they allied with the Terrazas.”

My family is from Chihuahua, and I’m reading it to learn more about why they left. It was total chaos in 1921 in Chihuahua. I need to make charts to keep track of who was in power when and what side they were on.

4. Tag 5 people.
Mom2fur, Annika, Lori, Josi, and Mrs. Szewczyk (heck, Rob could answer if he wants).
