Pulguito

Pulguito and Chunguita made strawberry jam at out last Mini Members meeting. It went really well. I was apprehensive because jam (on a gas stove) involves open flames and boiling water. However, both of my kids did fine. One little girl dripped scalding water on her shirt and burned herself. Poor little girl. It really hurt her.

Anyway, when I said that Pulguito had only just turned 5 and was still in preschool, I was, as usual, met with amazement. “He’s so tall!” Yes, he is; he’s off the scale tall.

After the meeting, the leader said, “I still can’t believe he’s only 5. He’s so well behaved.”

He can be. He can be precocious in so many ways besides height.

I also learned that I’m supposed to be keeping a notebook of their 4H activities. Oh, well. Maybe I’ll start one.
