A really nice day

in: General

The weather is beautiful here in Livermore. And my day has been pretty great. It’s my day off from work, so I get to be at home, just me, no kids, no
DH. I helped DH get the kids to school, then I took a bath. It was lovely. Lily and I took a walk. It was Lily’s first walk with me.

I just got back from running errands. I went to the library to pick up the books that I had requested. They have this system where you can, via the internet, request books from other libraries if they aren’t available at your local library. It’s wonderful. Then I stopped at Starbucks and enjoyed a coffee and scone. The weather is cool enough that I was able to sit outside, in the sun, sipping my coffee and reading my book without getting all hot and sweaty.

Then it was off to Joann’s. I was not looking forward to this. Chunguita and I had bought her a bead storage case, and it came w/o the little containers. This would not have been a problem, but Chunguita had ripped the whole thing open and managed to lose the receipt in the process. So I had to return it w/o a receipt. They were great at my Joann’s. I’m sure it helps that I am there every week and am on a first name basis with the clerks. They took it back and gave me another one. It was so easy.

On the way, I stopped at the local piercing shop and got a hoop put in my ear. I used to have a hole there, but I had it done with a gun, and it wasn’t right. I let it close up. Hopefully, this one will work out. It’s a lot more expensive to go to a piercing shop ($45 for just one hole), but if it works out, it will have been totally worth it.
