Some time ago, we went to the Alameda County Fair. We go every year. The weather was fabulous this year. It was cool enough that we could stand in direct sunlight. That’s not always possible. It gets brutally hot.
The first thing we do when we get there is to head over to the kiddie carnival. The kids’ very favorite ride is the slide. I didn’t get a good photo of the slide, so I’m showing you pbo31‘s. Another favorite is the swing ride. I can’t fit all my womanly goodness into the kiddie one; hrumph.
While we waited for Jack to show up, we visited the antique farm equipment. My pictures were not noteworthy, probably because I have such a good time examining the equipment. However, I was impressed by how high Chunguita could get the pump to spray water.
And we wandered around in the agricultural/garden displays. I love this false sea onion. I wonder if I can grow one.
