Acorns to Oaktrees

Chunguita had a good time trick-or-treating last night. We had a couple of tense moments because she didn’t want to put on her costume, but she was fine once I got it on her. She was afraid of her lightup jack-o-lantern, so I got down her easter basket. That worked well. She was apprehensive about taking stuff from people she didn’t know very well, which is not a bad thing. The funny thing was that she wanted to take everything out of her basket before she got each candy, so that she could put the candy in an empty basket. We only went to 5 houses, but Chunguita had a grand time.

Chunguita is in love with her baby. She has a 14 inch plastic “It’s just babyfat” baby. We have a moses basket for it. I’m thinking she needs a cradle and highchair and so on for Christmas/Birthday. She loves to hold it, check it’s diaper for poops, put it to bed, and give it baths. It’s funny to see her with it in the bathtub. She’ll be holding it so carefully, softly washing it, while it’s facedown in the water. I know it can’t drown, but still the image is funny.

Chunguita’s new word is “happy”. She was sitting in her car seat the other day, saying “Happy, happy.” And when we ask her if she is happy, she chirps out “HAPPY!”

She’s fitting into most of her 2Ts. Once again, they tend to be too short and too big around the waist.
