Acorns to Oaktrees

I am not a country person, but I would love to live in the city. You know that song that Jackson Brown remade, “Downtown”; that describes my nostalgia for the city.

However, because of my job & DH’s job, too, we decided to live in the same town as we work. It happens to be a suburb. I gotta tell you: I
mostly love it. Our neighborhood is fantastic. We have great neighbors. I love my house. It’s 2 blocks from Chunguita’s daycare and
(hopefully her school) a magnate elementary school. It’s 2 miles from where I work.

I suppose it is very unusual that in most of the households in my neighborhood, at least one adult works at one of two places. That must give us an additional sense of community.

And I thought I would rather die than live out here. Go figure.
