Vogue V1355

I made myself a couple of Vogue V1355. Reviews at PatternReview.

I had three problems with the pattern.

  1. I cut out the pants a size too large. I don’t remember if that was my error or not.
  2. I cut the front crotch down 3 inches. SB’s patterns are always way, way too long in the front crotch for me.
  3. I had to lengthen the pants 6 inches. Granted, I have a 35 inch inseam. But really! A 29 inch inseam?

The first pair I made out of a really stretchy poly something that Georgene gave me at a BABES. They are very comfy, but 6 inches too short. The 2nd two pairs, I made from some rayon blend from Joann’s which was not nearly as stretchy as the pink poly. This lead to the waistband being too tight and the front crotch length being a tad short. They are very wearable, but the 2nd pair has a slightly longer front crotch length and a bigger (circumferential) waistband.

So, just beware, fabric stretchiness makes a difference in fitting.
